1 Acceptance of Terms

Fango is a food waste tracking app intended for personal use. By downloading or using Fango, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app may only be used for lawful, personal purposes. Misuse, copying, reverse engineering, or modification of the app is prohibited.

2 Fango Pro Subscription

Fango Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks premium features. The following subscription options are available:

Fango Pro Monthly — €1.99 per month
Fango Pro Yearly — €19.90 per year

Prices are displayed at the point of purchase and may vary by region due to local taxes or App Store pricing tiers. The applicable price is always confirmed before your purchase is finalised.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Subscription fees are not refunded for the current billing period. Fango does not handle payment information directly — all billing is managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their respective terms.

3 Free Trial

Fango Pro monthly subscription includes a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. No charge is made during the trial period.

Unless the subscription is cancelled before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription at the end of the trial period.

If you activate a paid subscription during the trial period, the remaining trial time will be forfeited.

You can cancel the trial for free at any time before it ends:

iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Fango → Cancel Subscription
Android: Google Play → Profile → Subscriptions → Fango → Cancel Subscription

4 Cancellation

You may cancel your Fango Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until that date.

To cancel your subscription, go to:

iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Fango → Cancel Subscription
Android: Google Play → Profile → Subscriptions → Fango → Cancel Subscription

Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancelled subscriptions are not refunded for the unused portion of the current billing period.

5 Use of Service

Fango is intended for adults or minors under parental supervision. The guardian is responsible for ensuring that these terms are followed on behalf of a minor user.

Fango reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or its features without separate prior notice.

6 Privacy

Your use of Fango is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference.

Fango does not collect or transmit your personal food data to any server. All app data remains on your device. The only third party involved is RevenueCat, which handles Pro subscription status. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

7 Disclaimer of Liability

Fango is a tool for reducing food waste — not an official food safety tool. The reminders and dates provided by the app do not replace the official best-before or use-by date markings on food packaging. Always assess the condition of food yourself.

The app's developers are not liable for any harm, damage, financial loss, or health issue that may result from using or failing to use the app.

8 Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will be resolved primarily through negotiation. Consumer disputes may also be brought before the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi).
